Pathway 2 Info & Application
What is Pathway 2?
Students at PPOS who fulfill certain criteria (see below) have the option of being placed on Pathway 2. What this means is that the student is not required to go to live Class Connect sessions due to certain approved reasons.
These students are still responsible for all content in their classes as well as meeting all deadlines. They will be expected to watch the recordings of Class Connect sessions when they have time available. They will also be expected to log in each day to the OLS.
Who is eligible for Pathway 2?
There are 3 reasons that a student may become Pathway 2:
1. You work at a job during the traditional school hours.
2. You are a mother or father of a young child.
3. You have health concerns that cause you to miss large amounts of school each week.
Student Expectations
1. Notify all teachers of Pathway 2 status.
2. Create a plan with all teachers as to what is expected on a daily/weekly basis.
3. Log into the OLS daily to read and respond to email.
4. Maintain a passing grade in each class.
5. Respond to teachers, counselors, advisor, and administration within 24 hours.
Pathway 2 privileges can be revoked.
Please remember that PPOS offers Pathway 2 as a way to help our students be successful. However, if a student is not living up to the expectations, that student may be removed from Pathway 2. All students are still expected to school and complete all work assigned.
What are the next steps?
